Requirements

7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong backend background.

3+ years of experience as a team leader, preferably in dynamic, fast-paced companies.

Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable web architecture.

Experience developing SaaS products hosted in a cloud platform like AWS or equivalent.

People person with strong leadership skills who can build a winning team.

Independent, resourceful, and proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers.

Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English.

The following is a big plus

Experience developing a product from scratch.

Experience with Kotlin / Scala / Java.

Experience with developing infra components

Mentoring and leading internal guilds / Tech-forums

What will you do?

We’re growing fast and looking for a talented and passionate Engineering Team Leader who will build our backend guild to join us!

As an Engineering Team Leader, you will be in charge of hiring, onboarding, growing, and mentoring your team of backend engineers, while as the backend guild master you will lead the backend development guild, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions.

As a backend guild master, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to backend developers at all levels. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team environment.

Together with our architects and backend infra teams, you will define the backend development strategy, including the technology stack, best practices, and processes.

You will facilitate knowledge sharing within the guild through workshops, tech talks, and documentation. Encourage contributions and collaboration with other groups to ensure seamless integration and alignment across different parts of the software development lifecycle.

You should be passionate about people management as well as software engineering as your team will be responsible for owning the dev cycle from the technical design, through coding and testing, to deployment and monitoring. We work in a true continuous delivery environment with fully automated QA processes on a micro-services architecture, deploying to production dozens of times every day.
