We’re seeking a qualified DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain our observability and cloud management tools. Excelling at automation, troubleshooting, and system design, they should also be proactive in suggesting improvements and optimizing software cloud resources.
You should be a quick learner with strong technical and communication skills, and have the ability to work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure a harmonious environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our software is monitored and alerts are happening before the client gets it.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud management: You will manage the Azure cloud resources with optimization for cost to performance for our production environments.
- Automation Tools: Develop CI/CD tools using various cutting-edge technologies to help streamline release workflows.
- Optimization: Propose efficiency and usability improvements across Velotix proprietary software products to enhance the delivery process.
- Observability: You will develop and implement an observability solution to monitor and alert for production environments.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Scripting Skills: Strong background in at least one of the following: Python, Linux, Bash, Golang.
- At least 1 year of experience with monitoring solutions like Grafana / Loki / Elasticsearch
/ Promtail, etc.
- At least 1 year of experience with Terraform & Helm.
- At least 1year of experience with managing Kubernetes clusters / Docker swarm/compose environments.
- At least 1 year of experience with Azure.
- CI/CD Tools:Experience with ArgoCD,GitHub Actions ( / Jenkins pipelines).
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues, showcasing excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Software Development: An understanding of development processes.
- Experience working in scrum methodology.
- OpenShift experience.
- Build Tools: Knowledge with Software build tools such as Gradle.
- Production releases experience.
