Job Description:
Real Sense is looking for an experienced Real Time embedded SW Engineer to join RealSense R&D business unit. Our Research and Development team is focused on developing and introducing state-of-the-art AMR 3D cameras that set the stage for ground-breaking innovations.
Our goal is to help our customers to power up and boost industrial and operational robotics automation by providing them a smarter Depth-Camera with the capability to see, analyze and make independent decisions in real time. Our platform includes the 3D camera's SDK, applications, firmware, drivers, edge and cloud services, which really means working on a new and exciting robotics field with multiple areas of SW engineering and opportunities for growth. As a real time embedded engineer on our team, you will join our embedded SW engineers team that includes FW, SW and drivers experts.
Your main responsibility will be to lead the design and implementation of our depth embedded SW in RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS Operating System ).
You will be challenged to optimize and manage workload sharing between multiple competing processes while enabling our camera to perform at its best.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Low Level Embedded software/firmware development - Mandatory.
- 3+ years' experience in Linux kernel development, including writing, debugging, and maintaining device drivers.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and understanding of kernel architecture and subsystems is crucial.
- Proficiency in programming tools such as git, shell scripting and gcc compiler.
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques specific to Linux environments, such as GDB, strace, and kernel tracing tools.
- Good understanding of the Linux community and kernel development process
- Experience with communications protocols and host I/F such as TCP/IP, UDP, USB, UART et.
- Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.
- Independent, highly motivated, with good interpersonal skills.
- B.Sc or higher degree in Computer Science or technically equivalent field is required.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and optimizing device drivers specifically for Nvidia Jetson Xavier and Orin platforms.
- Familiarity with the unique hardware features and capabilities of these platform.
- Experience in collaborating with the Linux community for upstream development.
- Expertise in V4L module for camera streaming and integration.
- Experience with ARM micro-controllers.
