Job Description Summary
GE Healthcare Molecular Imaging PET/CT group is seeking a highly experienced Software Architect to lead the architecture and design of advanced PET imaging software solutions.
You will define system and software architecture strategies and guide multiple development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the architectural vision and technical strategy across PET software components and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, systems, hardware, product, and clinical teams) to define and integrate end-to-end solutions.
- Drive technical excellence by setting coding and design standards, and enforcing architectural principles.
- Actively participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and deep-dive investigations.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the development lifecycle.
- Influence and support software roadmap planning, technical feasibility analysis, and system decomposition.
- Lead efforts on software modernization, adoption of new technologies, and continuous improvement in architecture and development processes.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers and technical leaders across teams.
- Ensure compliance with software quality processes, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
Desired Characteristics / Technical Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 4 years in an architectural or technical leadership role. Experience working in Agile environments with DevOps/CI-CD practices.
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex, multi disciplinary software systems.
- Strong programming background in C++ and Java, and experience with large-scale computation.
- Experience in Unix/Linux-based systems development.
- Deep understanding of software design principles, performance optimization, and design for maintainability.
- Ability to lead through influence, drive technical alignment, and balance short-term and long-term priorities.
