What this role is:

You will design, develop, and test features to enhance the Genesys Cloud product suite. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain AWS microservices, lambdas, and REST APIs, in a very dynamic and agile environment.

What this role isn’t:

As a Software Engineer, you will be contributing to day-to-day development, maintenance, and monitoring of your team’s features. This role is not building simple single page sites, or single tenant services. We are developing for a complex multi-tenant cloud ecosystem. You will be contributing to complex features from design to the actual deployment and monitoring of your work in Genesys Cloud.

What you’ll bring to the table:

To be successful, you should be open minded and versatile, coding in different programming languages and in different projects. You should have excellent communication skills as this job requires working with other teams, occasionally from other countries. You should be curious about software development technologies and want to expand your skillset.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with international team, including Product Management, QA, UX folks and the rest of Engineering to identify work priorities, participate in architectural and design decisions.
• Implement software according to approved design, on time and with quality.
• Ensure continuous integration of new code through nightly builds and unit tests.
• Add Unit, integration, and manually tests for new features
• Participate in code reviews and submit your code for review by others, follow approved best practices and guidelines.
• Participate in daily team meetings, report on progress using tracking system.
• Develop and maintain AWS microservices and lambdas written in Java, JavaScript and other languages.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of software development experience
• Experience in back-end development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  
  

As a big plus but not required:

• Hands-on TypeScript and JavaScript experience
• Familiarity with AWS
