Checkpoint SMB group is looking for Automation Engineer to join our Field Solutions Team.

This position will include development and defining automated end-to-end scenarios for Quantum Spark products. Our team collaborates with different R&D teams to achieve elegant solutions and provide industry-leading security. In this position you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the improvement of a mission critical security products. As part of Field Solutions Team, you will have an ownership on automation processes and environments to perform special tests on our products in additional to common Checkpoint automation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of test cases and tests development in our automation system
• Run tests and analysis of the results reports
• Development and maintenance of our automation environment
• Development and maintenance of test cases based on product design and expected behavior
• Execute tests and analyze errors/failures.
• Research and implementation of external modules and tools to meet tests requirements.
• Identify complex issues in security gateway system from productions problem opened by support teams
• Dive into unfamiliar code and perform code investigations
• Ensure high quality of code, including rigorous debugging and testing
• Work closely with technical support on production impacting cases
• Implement various debugging tools and scripts
  
  

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science
• Versatility, fast learning and autonomous work capabilities
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and executing automated tests using automation tools and frameworks
• Advantage:
• Programming in Java
• Experience in Linux environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding network protocols and communication (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/S, DNS, SMB, FTP)
