The Role
We’re looking for a Data Integration Engineer to join our growing Data team. This role focuses on optimizing and scaling our data integrations as we transition from legacy infrastructure to a modern, self-hosted Airbyte-based system. You’ll help evolve our ingestion pipelines to support incremental syncs, improve reliability, and ensure our storage layer is built to scale with the growing number of supported data sources.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and improve data connectors and integrations with third-party data sources
- Migrate existing pipelines from legacy proprietary infrastructure to Airbyte
- Implement and monitor incremental sync logic across data sources
- Optimize storage schemas and design our landing zone for performance and cost
- Work closely with the infrastructure, research, and application teams to ensure consistent and reliable data delivery
- Monitor syncs and data quality, triage issues, and contribute to automated testing and observability efforts

Requirements:
Must
- 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or a similar technical role
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with REST APIs or SDKs
- Experience working with data integration or ETL tools (Airbyte, Fivetran, custom pipelines, etc.) - Nice to have
- Solid SQL and understanding of schema design and data modeling fundamentals
- Curiosity, accountability, and eagerness to grow in a fast-moving environment
Advantage
- Familiarity with Airbyte, Docker, or cloud storage solutions (S3, GCS, etc.)
- Cybersecurity background
