As a Software Engineer, You’ll
Be a key part of Weka’s Protocols product area, dedicated to enhancing the quality, robustness, and performance of our Multi-Protocols Interface. You’ll focus on developing advanced automated tests, frameworks, and tools that validate our distributed data platform, which powers S3, SMB, and NFS protocol services.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, and testing of storage solutions, including S3, SMB, and NFS protocol integration.
- Design and implement automated test frameworks and test cases to validate functionality, performance, and scalability of storage protocols.
- Build and maintain automation solutions for stress, performance, and regression testing in distributed environments.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across automation, distributed systems, and protocol-level implementations.
- Take full ownership of code quality, maintainability, and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (with excellence) in Computer Science or a related field from a top-rated academic institute.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced startup environment.
- Team player, autodidact, excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- A couple of years experience in a technological unit, internship, or a junior position in an IT company.
- M.Sc, academic projects, or certifications related to storage technology.
- Experience working in Python, Go, or similar.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and Linux OS-level knowledge.
- Familiarity with storage concepts (S3, SMB, NFS, Linux filesystems).
- Familiarity with network concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with containerized environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and frameworks.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
