About this role
As a Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and operating our on-premises deployment platform. You’ll design and implement infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and DevSecOps practices to ensure that our healthcare solutions are delivered reliably, securely, and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, security teams, and product management to ensure our systems meet regulatory standards and healthcare industry best practices.
Your infrastructure responsibilities will include:
- Architect, deploy, and manage on-premises infrastructure based on Linux (primarily Ubuntu)
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and configuration management using Ansible, Python, and Bash
- Optimize system provisioning, updates, backups, and disaster recovery strategies, including leveraging tools like CloneZilla for image-based backups and system replication
- Design and manage Kubernetes clusters for on-premises environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
- Build and maintain Docker container images following security and performance best practices
Your DevOps responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for seamless build, test, and deployment workflows
- Integrate DevSecOps practices and tools into pipelines for code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks
- Champion secure coding practices and ensure infrastructure adheres to regulatory and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR where applicable)
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate infrastructure needs early into the SDLC
- Provide operational support for deployment issues, performance tuning, and system troubleshooting
- Document processes, infrastructure designs, and operational runbooks.
- Develop and maintain tools and scripts that interact with RESTful APIs for system integration, monitoring, and automation
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with our tech stack
- Operating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu)
- Languages & Scripting: Python, Bash
- Version Control & CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
- Containerization: Docker
- Orchestration: Kubernetes (must-have)
- Configuration Management: Ansible
- Backup & Imaging: CloneZilla or similar tools
- Security: Code security tools, DevSecOps practices
- APIs: RESTful API integration
- Other: Monitoring, logging, and observability tools (preferred)
The ideal candidate will offer:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or related engineering roles
- Experience managing production environments, preferably for on-premises solutions in regulated industries like healthcare, finance, or critical infrastructure
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting in production environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices, including security scanning and compliance integrations
- Experience working with RESTful APIs for integrations and automation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Background in healthcare IT or other regulated industries
- Experience with image-based backup tools like CloneZilla in production environments
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code principles and tools
- Strong communication and documentation skills with fluency in Hebrew and English
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and driven attitude to delivering high-quality solutions
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
