We are looking for a
hands-on DevOps Team Leader to drive our engineering infrastructure forward and lead a high-performing team that supports our R&D organization. This role is central to the delivery, reliability, and scalability of our development pipelines, container platforms, and production-grade cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate combines
strong DevOps expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide and grow a team in a complex, fast-paced environment. The role includes
people management and technical ownership, with a strong focus on AWS and exposure to other public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, OCI).
This leader will own the selection, implementation, and lifecycle of solutions and developer tools that
enable velocity, automation, and reliability across the software development lifecycle.
The team is responsible for building and supporting developer infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, container-based runtime environments, and DevOps platforms that serve the needs of R&D teams across the organization.
The
DevOps Team Leader will report directly to the VP Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
People & Team Leadership
- Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and excellence within the team.
- Define team goals, priorities, and development plans for organizational needs.
- Drive cross-team collaboration with R&D, IT, Security, and Product teams across the company and subsidiaries.
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Own the cloud infrastructure strategy and operations across AWS (primary), with growing presence in Azure, and future exploration of other cloud service providers.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of all product environments, specifically production and staging environments, for scalability, resilience, and security.
- Guide and validate infrastructure decisions, including cost optimization and architecture reviews.
- Support incident management and ensure high availability of services.
- Ensure DevOps infrastructure standards, policies, and operational procedures are enforced across all R&D units and subsidiaries
Dev Tooling & CI/CD
- Lead the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of internal DevOps tools and CI/CD platforms that empower development teams with velocity, reliability, and autonomy.
- Own the full lifecycle (selection, implementation, maintenance, and evolution) of developer infrastructure tools such as Git, Octopus, ArgoCD, Artifactory, and related services.
- Ensure these platforms are securely implemented, well-integrated, and fully embedded in R&D workflows across teams and subsidiaries.
- Maintain and evolve Kubernetes-based container infrastructure (e.g., EKS, GKE, AKS) to support scalable and resilient application runtime environments.
- Drive tooling standardization and enablement practices that support collaboration, security, and developer experience.
Technical Guidance & Hands-On Involvement
- Provide technical direction, conduct design and code reviews, and resolve complex issues within the DevOps team.
- Participate hands-on in PoCs, incident resolution, and critical system rollouts.
- Stay updated on DevOps trends, open-source tooling, and cloud-native practices.
- Promote infrastructure-as-code, security-by-design, and GitOps best practices.

Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience as a DevOps team leader or manager - must
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering experience - must
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (especially AWS, Azure/GCP/OCI – advantage), scripting (Python, Bash), automation frameworks (especially Terraform, Ansible)
- Expertise with Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Maven)
- Experience managing production environments in high-scale, high-availability systems
- Understanding of networking concepts: load balancing, DNS, routing, security
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and align infrastructure efforts with development goals
- Experience supporting R&D environments and developer tooling (artifact management, secrets management, etc.)
