We're expanding our programmatic stack and looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale our real-time bidding (RTB) infrastructure. You'll develop high-performance Go services based on OpenRTB and VAST, powering low-latency, high-throughput programmatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of our bidding and ad-decision services (tens of thousands of QPS, sub-120 ms).
- Build and optimize Go micro-services that speak OpenRTB 2.x, VAST and related specs.
- Shape technical direction: pick patterns, set standards, drive architecture sessions.
- Give constructive feedback on pull requests and mentor engineers.
- Keep our services observable and reliable (DataDog/Grafana, traces).
- Streamline CI/CD, container builds and blue-green deploys together with the platform squad.
Requirements
- 3+ years back-end development, 1+ with Go in high-traffic production.
- Solid grasp of the full OpenRTB workflow (bid request/response, win-notice, loss-notice).
- Proven work on event-driven or real-time systems handling >10 k RPS.
- Experience launching and operating services in at least one public cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of header bidding, Prebid S2S, SPO, FPO.
- Familiarity with Go profiling (pprof), memory tuning, lock-contention fixes.
Advantageous
- Terraform or Helm for infra-as-code.
- Exposure to Redis or similar key value stores.
- Exposure to ClickHouse, BigQuery or similar column stores for analytics.
