We are seeking an exceptional Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6 talented engineers within our Customer Experience (CX) Engineering group. This role is pivotal in shaping how our customers interact with Forter's fraud prevention capabilities and will have a direct impact on their day-to-day operations. Your focus could span from enhancing core platform capabilities to pioneering new AI-driven product features, or a combination of both – ensuring there are always relevant and exciting challenges to tackle.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6 talented software engineers, fostering a culture of delivery, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Drive the development of products that empower our customers to combat fraud efficiently, gain valuable insights, and manage daily operational needs.
  • You’ll be hands-on: Managers at Forter drive innovation and impact by doing hands-on just as much as they grow and nurture our engineers
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, and executives to iteratively develop, improve, and release features.
  • Be technically engaged, diving into code reviews, architectural discussions, and providing occasional hands-on contributions when necessary.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and customers, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable product roadmaps.

What you'll need:

  • A Proactive Problem Solver: You possess a relentless, get-things-done attitude, thriving on winning and exceeding goals. You come with a plan and solve complex problems.
  • An Experienced Engineering Leader: You have at least 4 years of experience leading a team of 4+ engineers. You effectively lead, set expectations, and help your team grow.
  • A Full-Stack Expertise & AI Acumen: A full-stack engineer at heart with 6+ years of experience, highly experienced with NodeJS, React, various data stores (ElasticSearch, MySQL, Snowflake, Redis), AWS, event-driven architectures, and hands-on experience with AI/ML-based systems like prompt engineering.
  • Collaborative & Priority-Driven: You excel at working with product managers and designers, managing priorities amidst distractions and curveballs, and maintaining focus. You are a team player who knows how to harness and coordinate with peers to get things done.
  • You Embrace Change: Forter is a fast-changing company where adaptability is key.
