About us

Walmart Global Tech’s presence in Israel has grown over the past few years with 3 acquisitions to date, all develop using industry leading technologies.

We are looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer for our platform team.

Key responsibilities:

• Be part of the design, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshoot our cloud applications and infrastructure.
• Take part in architecture designs for future features, and systems.
• Take care and manage all aspects of software development and DevOps processes - from recent technologies, infrastructure, CICD, security, monitoring, scalability, and reliability processes including Walmart’s platforms, tools and technologies.
• Drive technical excellence, high product quality, innovation, and timely delivery in an agile, production critical environment

Requirements:

• First and foremost, team player with a positive attitude.
• At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a proven track record of managing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in cloud services and platforms like GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Pulumi).
• Strong proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Experience with common scripting languages and frameworks (e.g Python, Bash)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Advantage:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Development experience in Kotlin/Python
• Experience with NoSql and relational DB’s
• Experience with web frameworks like FastAPI/Micronaut/Express
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools, as well as the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
