  • Tableau Tableau
  • Snowflake Snowflake

  • Fivetran

DoorLoop is hiring a skilled Senior Data Engineer to build a unified and reliable data infrastructure, improve pipeline and query performance, and support analytics and product teams with a trusted semantic layer. This is a foundational role with significant technical ownership: many systems are still in early stages or fragmented, and much of the current infrastructure needs to be rebuilt. We're looking for someone who can architect long-term solutions that will serve the company not only today, but as we continue to scale rapidly and expand our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and maintenance of the core data infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and transformation workflows using tools such as dbt and Fivetran
  • Design and manage data models and semantic layers to support product, marketing, and operational analytics
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing and querying across the stack
  • Collaborate with analytics and product teams to understand their data needs and deliver usable, documented, and consistent data views
  • Work closely with BI developers and analysts to ensure high data quality and intuitive access to data in Tableau and other BI tools
  • Lead efforts to standardize metric definitions and improve the overall data quality and governance framework

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure
  • Proficiency with modern data stack tools, including Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and Tableau.
  • Strong experience in designing and maintaining dimensional models and semantic layers that serve multiple business domains.
  • Proven track record in leading the design and implementation of data infrastructure end-to-end, beyond contributing to isolated components within a large team.
  • Comfortable being the technical focal point for analysts and business stakeholders, working independently, and prioritizing effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Understand how to build for scale, performance, and usability across teams with different data needs
  • Clear communicator and a collaborative partner to analysts, engineers, and business teams
