Moovit is looking for a talented and experienced
Senior Business Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team. This team provides crucial cross-functional support and data-driven guidance on various aspects of the business, including product quality, stability, growth, marketing, monetization, and operations.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in a quantitative or technical field, proven experience in querying and working with large datasets, and a track record of driving data-informed decisions. You are results-oriented, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to understand, grow, and improve a product. You are not just reactive; you proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Apply your expertise in SQL, Python, and quantitative analysis to go beyond the numbers and deeply understand how our users interact with our business and core products.
- Initiate and conduct in-depth research to uncover new business and product opportunities, trends, and actionable insights.
- Leverage AI tools and methodologies to enhance analytical processes and discover novel insights that drive business success.
- Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting models and dashboards to assist various stakeholders in making informed decisions.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to solve complex problems and identify trends through collaborative research.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of analytical experience, preferably within the online or apps industry.
- Excellent fluency in SQL, with a strong interest and comfort in working with large, complex databases.
- Proven experience with Python for data analysis and manipulation (e.g., pandas, numpy).
- Strong knowledge of statistical data analysis, including A/B testing and hypothesis testing.
- Demonstrated record of taking initiative, showing innovation, and driving projects forward independently.
- Ability to process and analyze complex datasets and interpret them to make sound business decisions.
- Experience building dashboards using a BI tool (Tableau, SiSense, QlikView, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with impeccable business judgment.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
