We’re looking for an Algorithm Engineer to join a leading defense organization specializing in research

and development of advanced sensing technologies, for a full‑time position

About The Role

You will guide the research process from fundamental studies through to final product development, focusing on the design

implementation, and validation of advanced algorithms. This role combines theoretical research with practical implementation offering a unique opportunity to make an impact across multidisciplinary sensing technologies

Your responsibilities

Develop advanced algorithms and support the research process from concept to implementation

Design, execute, and analyze laboratory and field experiments

Perform data analysis and processing, including image and signal processing research tasks

Work closely with data scientists, hardware, and system engineering teams to translate physical phenomena into computational models

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Geophysics

Master’s or higher degree – Advantage

At least 3 years of experience in Signal Processing with solid understanding of sampling theory

At least 3 years of experience with audio or sensor signal analysis including STFT, spectrograms, and filtering

Ability to extract meaningful features from raw signals and integrate them into machine learning pipelines

Hands‑on experience with Deep Learning including training and evaluating DL models such as CNNs and Transformers

Experience with scientific and ML ecosystem tools such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and PyTorch

Familiarity with self‑supervised learning methods – Advantage

Experience in Python, including large‑scale data loading, transformation, and dataset preparation – Advantage
Elbit Systems
