Your role will include:

Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and third generation sequencing analysis for a variety of applications, such as: transcriptomics, epigenomics, metagenomics, genetic variation, single cell analysis, including spatial information from images. The work includes, among other things:

o Implementation and evaluation of innovative analysis tools and methods

o Development and improvement of computational methods and pipelines

o Ongoing work with researchers in planning and executing advanced analyses according to research requirements

Skills and abilities:

o PhD in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Computer Science combined with Biology - required

o At least 3 years of experience in NGS data analysis - required

o Proficiency in Python and R scripting languages - required

o Experience working in Unix/Linux environment - required

o Experience in statistical analysis and/or artificial intelligence - advantage

o Knowledge and ability in image analysis - advantage

o High-level proficiency in Hebrew and English, written and oral

o Training skills and ability to present before an audience

o Ability to work independently and in collaboration with the team

o Self-learning ability, initiative, and keeping up-to-date with new technologies
