Groundcover is a fast‑growing B2D startup reinventing observability for cloud‑native systems. The company builds intuitive, high‑performance developer tools and dashboards that simplify debugging, monitoring, and performance insight workflows for engineering teams.

As Head of Frontend, you’ll lead and scale groundcover’s frontend engineering function, owning the frontend architecture, technical quality, and delivery of a world‑class UI experience used by developers globally.

You’ll set the technical direction, mentor and build the team, and partner closely with Product, Design, Backend, and DevOps to drive frontend innovation and execution.

• See the big picture of group tasks in order to make the best decisions about priorities.
• Share knowledge between your team and other teams in the group.
• Discover the technical debt & challenges and assist in solving them.
• Interact with stakeholders outside of the group.

Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years in software engineering with a strong frontend focus; 3–5+ years in leadership or technical lead roles.
• Technical Skills: Expert in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend ecosystems (state management, build tools, CSS frameworks like Tailwind).
• UI/UX: Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and developer-centric interfaces.
• Collaboration: Experience working with backend engineers, product managers, and designers in fast-moving environments.
• Cloud/DevOps: Familiarity with cloud-native platforms, REST/gRPC APIs, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills; able to influence cross-functional teams.
