About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Unity Group Manager to guide our client engineering team and drive the development of our mobile game.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building successful social/casual mobile titles, understands how to make features intuitive and engaging for millions of players, and is comfortable improving our legacy codebases.

Key responsibilities :

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a geographically distributed Unity team of five engineers, with planned expansion.

Build a collaborative, transparent, responsible engineering culture.

Set coding standards and best development practices for scalable architecture.

Perform code reviews and ensure high engineering quality and maintainability.

Collaborate with product, backend, art, QA, and design teams for full alignment.

Lead processes of sprint planning, estimations, and task breakdowns - challenging unclear or incomplete requirements.

Keep the team focused, unblock obstacles, and maintain a healthy delivery pace.

Encourage a positive, learning-oriented environment.

Strong working proficiency in English, both written and verbal


Requirements:

Technical Skills

7+ years of professional Unity development.

Strong C# skills with OOP, SOLID, clean architecture, and scalable system design.

Experience working on successful social/casual mobile games with 1M+ DAU

Hands-on experience improving legacy code, reducing tech debt, modularizing systems, or rebuilding unstable components.

Experience with addressables, asset workflows, and content pipelines.

Experience integrating backend services and APIs

Confidence with Git/BitBucket and branching strategies


Leadership Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Team Lead in game development teams.

Proven ability to hire, mentor and guide developers

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Design-first mindset: clarity, alignment, and planning before implementation.

Ability to drive cross-team alignment and lead decision-making processes.

Ownership mentality — proactive, structured, reliable, and solution-oriented.

Ability to balance delivery speed with code quality and technical health.

Success in this role will be measured by:

Predictable sprint execution and stable delivery rhythm.

Reduction in bugs caused by unclear requirements or misalignment.

Improved Unity client performance (FPS, memory, loading times).

Clean, maintainable architecture with decreasing tech debt.

Early QA builds.
