About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Director to lead strategic initiatives in data security, governance, and compliance. This role will oversee multiple engineering groups at scale, driving innovation and operational excellence across distributed systems and data platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership in managing end-to-end product development, including infrastructure, backend, and frontend components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership
• Work closely with product teams to define and execute a comprehensive roadmap for data security, governance, and compliance programs.
• Align initiatives with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk management strategies.
• Engineering Leadership
• Lead and mentor multiple engineering groups, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Technical Oversight
• Drive design and implementation of cloud-based distributed systems and data pipelines at scale.
• Ensure robust architecture for high-performance, fault-tolerant systems supporting enterprise workloads.
• Product Management
• Oversee end-to-end product development, including infrastructure, backend services, and user-facing applications.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
  

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
• 10+ years in data security or related fields.
• 5+ years leading multiple engineering groups at scale.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale distributed systems and data platforms.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in designing cloud-based distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Preferably experience with Apache Spark or Databricks.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Leadership Skills:
• Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-quarter roadmaps.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
