Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Lead analytical initiatives across business intelligence, performance metrics, financial analysis, user behavior research, experimentation analysis, and operational reporting.
- Write complex SQL queries in Snowflake to conduct deep analyses and validate team outputs.
- Build and maintain high-quality dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Redash.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Marketing, and leadership to define and answer critical business questions.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of analysts while reviewing their work and providing constructive coaching.
- Lead hiring efforts and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
- Serve as the bridge between business and technical teams by defining data requirements, documenting business logic, and helping prioritize the data engineering roadmap.
- Establish and uphold standards for SQL practices, dashboard design, and data documentation.
- Ensure analytics initiatives align with broader company objectives and strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in business analytics or similar roles.
- 2-3 years of people management experience leading analytical teams.
- Strong ability to balance hands-on analytical execution with team leadership.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business objectives into measurable frameworks.
- Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex queries, joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization in Snowflake.
- Expert-level experience building dashboards and data visualizations in Tableau.
- Experience working with SQL-based reporting tools such as Metabase, Apache Superset, or Redash.
- Strong understanding of business statistics, A/B testing, and experimentation analysis.
Bonus Points
- Experience with ETL and ELT processes and orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Experience administering Tableau Server, including user management, permissions, and performance optimization.
- Background in predictive analytics methodologies.
- Hands-on experience developing data pipelines in low-code platforms such as Rivery.
