So, what’s the role all about?

Join NICE’s Research Group and help shape the next generation of AI technologies used by organisations worldwide. As a Data Science Researcher, you will design and develop advanced algorithms across NLP, Vision, and multimodal domains, with a strong emphasis on large language models (LLMs). Your work will directly influence production-grade capabilities for our industry-leading contact center solutions.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with other researchers, subject matter experts, and engineers to explore new ideas, validate hypotheses, and transfer research innovations into real-world applications. If you are curious, creative, and excited by impactful, state-of-the-art machine learning, this position is for you.

How will you make an impact?

  • Conduct research and prototype advanced machine learning algorithms in NLP, Vision, and multimodal modeling.
  • Design, refine, and evaluate algorithms that employ large language models (LLMs)
  • Analyze large-scale, real-world datasets to derive insights and guide algorithm development.
  • Transition research prototypes into production ready solutions through close collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Clearly communicate research findings, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and contribute to expanding the team’s internal knowledge base.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Hands-on experience using large language models (LLMs) via AWS Bedrock or other generative AI services.
  • Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with machine learning libraries.
  • AI engineering skills
  • Advanced adoption of AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub co-pilot.
  • Experience using GenAI for data science work such as - LLM as a judge, data sets generation, weak labeling etc.
  • Experience working with Hugging Face or similar model libraries.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning theory and its practical application.
  • A track record of developing and implementing advanced algorithms.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Fluency in English.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience developing production‑ready AI agents.
  • Experience fine tuning or evaluating large language models at scale.
  • Background in multi modal or Vision-based deep learning.
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud-based ML environments.
