The Role

We are seeking an experienced VP of Software Engineering to lead our core engineering team in our network automation organization at Tel Aviv location. This role will lead the core functional domains of the network automation platform serving Tier-1 service providers. Reporting directly to our SVP of Network Automation, the VP of Software Engineering will lead multiple engineering teams, shaping both technical strategy and people leadership in a fast-growing, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the highly scalable end-to-end core functional domains across both frontend and backend, for large-scale network automation and orchestration platforms. Drive the design and evolution of highly available, distributed, cloud-native, and AI-enabled network automation. Drive engineering excellence through an AI-first SDLC and modern engineering best practices.
• Partner with Architecture, Product, and Operations to align technical direction with business goals.
  
  

Engineering Execution

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex, high scale backend systems, from design through production.
• Ensure high engineering standards, code quality, and operational excellence.
  
  

People & Organizational Leadership

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, Hire and develop top talent engineering teams in Israel
• Foster a culture of ownership, customer first and deliver results.
  
  

Operational & Business Impact

• Support large enterprise and telecom customer deployments with carrier-grade requirements.
• Balance innovation with operational stability in mission-critical environments
• Contribute to long-term company strategy, growth, and competitive differentiation.
  
  

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 7+ years in senior engineering leadership roles leading large, complex engineering organizations.
• Proven experience managing large backend engineering organizations through multiple layers of engineering managers and team leads.
• Strong background in networking, distributed systems, or large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering multi-product platforms with measurable business and customer impact.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, high-scale backend systems, AI-enabled workflows, security, and reliability.
• Data-driven leader with a strong focus on outcomes, metrics, and customer value.
• Experience building AI-driven products and agentic platforms and embedding AI into the SDLC.
• Experience with the AI tools and platforms
• Experience delivering carrier-grade or mission-critical platforms operating in highly demanding production environments.
