About the Role

We are seeking a Senior, results-driven Engineer to architect and execute the deployment of our next-generation quality solutions. This role is a critical hands-on builder responsible for driving the practical adoption of quality-first processes and maximizing the utilization of our internal automation tools across R&D teams. Positioned at the crossroads of Test Automation and Cloud Engineering, you will take full ownership of our AWS-based testing environment, implement the evolution of our core Playwright (TS) framework, and ensure the successful integration of cutting-edge AI technologies to optimize the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Next-Gen Framework: Lead the migration/development and architectural design of our automation world using Playwright, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams: developers, devops, platform and QA.
  • Scalability: Architect reusable libraries and OOP-based architectural patterns to support cross-product microservices.
  • Data & Performance: Define standards for SQL/NoSQL data validation and strategically oversee performance/stress testing to ensure system stability.
  • Design and develop robust internal applications, web portals (BE/FE) to engage the RnD teams with Quality first standards, and accelerate the usage of automation tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Maintain test environments using Terraform within AWS.
  • Containerization: Define and enforce standards for Docker to ensure our test execution environments are consistent across local dev and CI/CD.
  • AI Integration: Research and implement AI-driven tools for self-healing tests, automated test data generation, and intelligent bug analysis.
  • Mentorship: Act as the bridge between Platform and QA, mentoring other engineers on modern software design patterns and cloud best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience (5+ years) in software development, quality engineering, or a related role.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability and willingness to quickly learn and master new technologies, specifically Node.js, TypeScript, and Playwright.
  • Deep experience (5+ years) in:
  • At least one programming language such as Python, C#, Java, or Go.
  • Proven ability to utilize AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor) and strategically integrate LLMs/AI tools into the testing workflow for efficiency.
  • Experience with tools for API testing (i.e. postman, swagger).
  • Strong knowledge of web fundamentals, including DOM and locators (i.e. XPATH, CSS, Ids, etc) and HTML, XML.
  • Cloud & Infra: 3-5+ years of experience with cloud architecture, preferably AWS (managed services) and Terraform.
  • Containers: Familiarity with Docker for test execution environments.
  • CI/CD: Hands-on experience defining or managing pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline).
  • Strategic interest in "Self-healing" automation and AI-augmented visual testing.

Nice to have

  • Developer Roots: Proven experience as a Software Developer (preferably Frontend), with a deep understanding of the DOM, modern JavaScript, and web technologies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead cross-functional 'Quality Guilds,' mentoring developers on how to leverage the platform's automation tools to improve their own local development cycles.
  • Familiarity with large-scale microservices and web-based systems; you understand how all the "moving parts" of a cloud application fit together.
  • AI for Quality: Experience using AI agents to speed up your workflow. You don't just write code; you use AI to help you debug logs and build smarter automation.
  • Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
