THE ROLE

We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join our growing Internal Tools team on a part-time basis, with potential to transition into a full-time role over time based on performance and business needs.

As the company grows, so does the need for scalable, high-quality internal tools and efficient workflows. In this role, you will help build and maintain dashboards, applications, automations, scripts, and reporting solutions that support teams across the company.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building practical solutions, and working closely with stakeholders. We are looking for someone with a strong builder mindset - someone who actively looks for opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and help teams work better.

This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience building real tools that have an immediate impact across the company. You will work closely with different teams, solve a wide variety of problems, and help shape how internal systems and workflows evolve as the organization grows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain internal dashboards, applications, workflows, and automations using Retool and other modern tooling platforms.
  • Develop scripts, queries, and lightweight technical solutions to support a wide range of business and operational needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders across different teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and deliver practical, user-friendly solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve internal processes, increase efficiency, and raise the quality of day-to-day operations across the company.
  • Use AI-based tools and applications to accelerate development, problem-solving, and iteration.
  • Support the ongoing improvement and maintenance of internal tools used by teams across the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or have already completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience building internal tools, automations, or operational systems is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Solid coding ability and comfort building scripts, queries, or lightweight applications. Experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages is a plus, but deep expertise in any specific language is not required.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
  • Understanding of core software development practices, including testing, debugging, and version control.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools and applications such as Cursor, Base44, or similar tools as part of day-to-day work.
  • A builder mindset, with the curiosity and initiative to spot opportunities and turn ideas into useful, working solutions.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive, easy-to-use tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
