Motorola Solutions, a global leader in Public Safety, is looking for a talented student to join our hardware development team. We develop cutting-edge communication systems for emergency, security, and rescue organizations worldwide.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, curious, and precise student who wants to dive deep into the world of
High-Speed Digital Board Design and gain hands-on experience with real-world engineering challenges.
What You Will Do:
- Schematic Design: Participate in the planning and schematic entry of complex digital boards.
- Bring-up & Debug: Perform lab-based board bring-up, troubleshooting hardware issues, and analyzing signal integrity.
- Component Selection: Research and select electronic components (Processors, Memories, Power Regulators) based on system requirements.
- Layout Supervision: Work closely with PCB layout designers to ensure proper routing and Signal/Power Integrity.
- Hands-on Lab Work: Utilize advanced lab equipment to test, measure, and modify hardware prototypes (Rework).
Basic Requirements
What You Will Do:

What We Are Looking For:
- Education: B.Sc. student in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (End of 2nd year or above).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of digital logic.
- Precision: High attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical challenges.
- Passion: A genuine desire to learn and evolve in the field of Hardware & Board Design.
Advantages That Make a Difference:
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Altium).
- Experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers).
- Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, DDR, PCIe, USB).
- Practical soldering skills (SMT / Through-hole).
- Personal hardware projects or relevant practical experience (e.g., PCB design, Arduino/FPGA).
