Venice is a fast-growing, well-funded cybersecurity startup redefining how organizations protect and control access — streamlining privilege management across every identity and environment. With a unified, agentless platform that deploys in minutes and live, adaptive policies, we replace static access workflows and help enterprises secure and scale access with confidence.
What You'll Do
You'll build and own the connectivity layer that links Venice's cloud platform to our customers' on-prem environments — the secure access and remote-connectivity infrastructure that lets an agentless product reach deep into networks we don't control.
You'll own features end-to-end, design to production, mostly backend with some frontend, in a cloud-native microservices stack. The twist that sets this team apart: your code runs inside real customer networks — heterogeneous, locked-down, every one different — so a big part of the job is making secure access feel seamless on top of messy, unpredictable infrastructure.
Requirements
What we're looking for
A few years building backend services and shipping them to production end-to-end, in a cloud-native microservices environment.
Strong networking and security fundamentals — you understand how traffic moves and how trust gets established across systems (think TLS, DNS, proxies, identity and access primitives), and you're comfortable reasoning about it end to end
Calm and methodical in environments you don't fully control — comfortable debugging across firewalls, proxies, and trust boundaries when part of the system is a black box
A security mindset — you think in terms of trust, blast radius, and what could go wrong, not just the happy path
Strong ownership instinct — you take problems from ambiguity to a reliable, shipped solution
Clear communicator with strong English — you can explain a tricky networking issue to a colleague, in writing and live, without losing them
Why join us?
Because we have the best team - extremely professional, but even more importantly, fun people to be around. Hybrid, mixing on-site offices in Tel Aviv (close to the light rail station), with flexibility when needed. And we take our coffee seriously :)
