We Are Hiring a Wireless Connectivity Lab Engineer!
Cambium is looking for a talented and driven Wireless Connectivity Lab Engineer for an outsourcing opportunity. You will be working embedded within the R&D team of a leading, global technology company based in Herzliya (On site work model).
About the Role: In this position, you will be at the forefront of wireless development, measurement, and testing. You will lead the creation of advanced scripts to measure the performance of cutting-edge wireless devices and conduct deep analysis of the results. Your work will directly impact a wide range of technologies, including Cellular 4G and 5G, WiFi (up to the latest WiFi 7 standards), Bluetooth Classic, and BLE
Key Responsibilities: Automation & Scripting: Develop advanced automation scripts (highly focused on Python) to execute measurements and analyze data using SCPI or DLL-based interfaces. Lab Operations: Configure and operate sophisticated RF lab equipment, including UXM, Propsim, Network Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers. Testing & Troubleshooting: Design complex connectivity testing scenarios, debug intricate lab setup issues, and ensure accurate, successful measurements. Device Configuration: Work hands-on with off-the-shelf cellular and WiFi device configurations and operating modes. Collaboration: Work "shoulder-to-shoulder" with the client's core development team, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative field. * At least 2 years of hands-on industry experience operating advanced RF test and measurement equipment. * Advanced proficiency in Python (or similar scripting platforms) for lab automation and results analysis. * Proven, in-depth knowledge of the PHY level across relevant wireless connectivity standards. * High proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points!): * Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. * Hands-on experience configuring and analyzing standard-based wireless channel models. * Solid understanding of wireless communication theory and independent mathematical problem-solving skills. * Strong foundation in antenna basics, including antenna measurement processes.
