We partner with organizations such as SAP, Microsoft, Airbus (CTC), and Boeing (AMRC), serving manufacturers across three continents.

The Project

We are bringing on a Software Engineer for a focused three-month project to accelerate delivery of core backend features on our SaaS platform. You will ramp up quickly on our codebase, take ownership of a well-defined slice of work, and ship production-ready software alongside our Product, Frontend, and QA teams. There is potential for a longer engagement beyond the initial three months, subject to the continuation of the project with our customer.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused engagement: we are looking for someone who can be productive fast, work independently, and communicate clearly across the team.

What You'll Do

•     Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for our SaaS platform, from feature logic to the infrastructure that runs it.

•     Build and integrate REST APIs and event-driven services within a microservice architecture.

•     Model and optimize relational and NoSQL data stores, with a focus on performance, correctness, and scale.

•     Own features end to end - design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support while collaborating with Product, Frontend and QA teams.

•     Use modern developer tooling, including AI coding assistants, to accelerate delivery while keeping code quality, security, and maintainability high.

What You'll NeedBackend Development (Core)

•     2-6 years of overall programming experience.

•     2+ years of hands-on experience with Java / Spring for backend development.

•     2+ years working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).

•     Experience building and integrating REST APIs and SaaS applications.

•     Solid grasp of microservice architecture and design concepts.

•     Experience with NoSQL data stores (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

Cloud, DevOps & Modern Engineering Stack

•     Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud stack (or a comparable cloud provider).

•     Experience with CI/CD pipelines and concepts (e.g. Bitbucket/Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).

•     Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex) as part of day-to-day development - for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and test writing - with sound judgment about when and how to rely on them.

General

•     B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

•     Excellent English skills - reading, writing, and speaking.

•     Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

•     A strong sense of ownership - able to drive a feature from design through development, testing, and production release.

•     Fast learner who can quickly ramp up on new business domains and technologies.

•     Experience working closely in cross-functional teams - with product owners, QA, and frontend engineers.

•     A team player who can also take full ownership and work independently.

Preferred / Nice to Have

•     Experience developing B2B SaaS systems.

•     Familiarity with modern frontend development using React (JavaScript/TypeScript) for building and integrating SaaS user interfaces.

•     Experience with messaging and streaming frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ).

•     Experience integrating with, or building on top of, LLM APIs or AI-agent frameworks.

•     Understanding of High Availability (HA) architecture and configurations, and experience provisioning production environments.
