Innoviz Technologies is developing state-of-the-art LiDAR sensors and advanced perception software for the automotive industry. We are looking for a
System Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative team focused on developing LiDAR systems for autonomous vehicles. This is a
hands-on individual contributor role with technical leadership responsibilities, leading multi-disciplinary system development and integration efforts—from KPI and data analysis to algorithm prototyping and customer delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development within the System Engineering group.
- Contribute to requirements definition, system design, and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate technical results and lead development processes according to Automotive SPICE standards.
- Conduct system-level testing, modeling, and characterization.
- Develop and implement calibration methods to address complex system challenges.
- Develop Python/MATLAB-based simulations, prototypes, and automation tools for rapid proof-of-concept and laboratory equipment control.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical leader in a multi-disciplinary environment (hardware + software).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on system engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary company—preferably in electro-optics or sensor-based systems.
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, , Computer Science or equivalent from a leading university (M.Sc. an advantage).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurements of physical systems (e.g. HW systems, sensors).
- High level of problem-solving skills and debugging of high complexity systems.
- Fast learner who can rapidly adapt to new tools, technologies, and workflows.
- Communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for simulation, data analysis, and system modeling – Advantage.
